Ottawa, May 23. O’Brien, who loft this city on Saturday last for Niagara, was mobbed and pelted with stones at Kingston and Hamilton, towns which he visited en route. London, May 24, Exciting scenes were witnessed in the the House of Commons last night on the resumption of the discussion of the Crimes Bill in Committee, The cloture had to ba applied three times, sod finally the second clause of the Bill was adopted. The Parnellites used tremendous efforts to prevent its adoption, and heaped abuse on the Government supporters, stigmatising them as cowards and assassins. Mr Healey invoked the Deity to reject the appeal of Conservatives for mercy at the Judgment Day. Mr Tanner, member for Mid Cork, called the Conservatives “ d cowards,” for which remark he was compelled to apologise. The Parnellites claim o victory, although the clause was passed, the Government having postponed an important amendment. May 25. A disturbance has taken place at Kingston, Ontario, between the supporters of Mr O’Brien, the Irish Nationalist leader, and the Orangemen, during which shots were exchanged. The London Press demand that Mr Tanner should be severely punished for his misbehaviour in the Committee of the House of Commons.
