GERALDINE RIFLES.

The seven men of this corps, who had not fired at the 300 yards ranee when we published the scores on Thursday morning, did so on that day, and the following are the final results; —

TDK PRIZES. A parade was held in the drillshed on Thursday evening and at its conclusion. the prizes were distributed. Most of the prises were arranged on tables in the hall. The company were drawn up in a half circle and each man was called out in the order he attained to choose his prize. When all had chosen they were again called out and presented with their prizes by Mrs Pearpoint, who addressed a few words of congratulation to each. A number of civilians, including several ladies, attended to witness the presentation. 1. Oorpi. G. Bethune, teapot and a pair of vases. 2. Corpl. C. Foster, pair of shoes. 3. Sergt. F. Coombs, jug and teapot. 8. Private J. Shat, bridle. 9. Corpl. J. Shaw, sot of swingletrees. 10. Private J. Dean, lamp. 11. Private W. Pye, jubilee pickle jar. 12. Private D. Shaw, round table. 33. Private H. Smith, one year's Guardian. 14. Private H. Chiverson, bag of beans. 15. Private E. Logan, rug. 16. Private J. Sutherland, tin of kerosene. 17. 001.-Sergt, W. SPECIiI PRIZES, Captain Pearpoint’a cup (value £6 6s), for the highest score made—Corpl, G. Bethune. Mr J. Boughton’s prize for the highest scorer, a pair of trousera Corpl, G. Bethune. Mr Lawson’s prize for the highest scorer at 500yds, a revolver and case- -Corporal G. Bethune, Mr J. Cunningham’s prize for the highest score at 200yds, hunting crop and lash (value 50s) —Corporal C, Foster. Mr N. Dunlop’s cup (value £2 2i) for the highest scorer at 300yds—Lieut. Q. Ward. Pair of spectacles for the lowest score msde Private R, Morrison. At (he conclusion of the presentation three cheers were given for Mrs Peaipoint, Captain Pearpoint, and Liouts. Ward and Mackenzie.
