GERALDINE COUNTY COUNCIL. i'N aocordance with the provisions of JL " The Rating Act, 1862," and other Actß amending the same, the Geraldine County Council hereby give Public Notice that the next ordinary meeting, to be held on WEDNESDAY, Junn Bth, 1887, it is the intention of the Council to make a GENERAL RATE of ONE FARTHING (id) IN THE £ (POUND) on the rateable value of all the property as shown in the Valution Rolls now in force in the Geraldine County. Such rate being for the period ending 31st March, 1888, and to be payable in one sum on the Ist day of July, 1887, at the office of the Geraldine County Council, Timaru. The Rate Books are now open for inspection by ratepayers (without fee) at the County Council Office, Colonial Bank Buildings, Timaru, from May 18th to June Ist inclusive, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.
