OPENING OF THE PEOPLE'S PALACE.

London, May 15. The People's Palace, East London, was opened by the Queen yesterday. Her Majesty was accompanied by the Prince of Wales and other members of the Royal family. They left Paddington Ssation and proceeded to Mile End Road, where the palace is situated, via Hoi born, where she was received by the Lord Mayor and the Corporation of the City of London, who escorted her to Aldgate. The Royal party occupied tire open carriages, and the route was lined by 100,000 volunteers aqd 8000 regular troops, The streets were gaily decorated, and tremendous enthusiasm was manifested by large crowds of people who bad assembled, The weather throughout was splendid, and the whole proceedings were a great success. On the Queen's return she was entertained at the Mansion House by the Lord and Lady Mayoress.
