London, May 8. the close of the debate on the question of appointing a Committee to consider whether the articles published by the limes on Mr Dillon were a breach of privilege, the Opposition intimated that they were willing to refer all Parnellism crimes and charges to a Committee, including the fao simile letter. This offer is deemed to be ow ing to some later influence Drought to bear. In consequence of the proposal to appoint a Committee being rejected, the Parnellites are posing as martyrs. The Times taunts them with refusing to enter a Court and submit to cro§g examination,
May 10. The House of Commons has been sitting all night in Committee on the Irish Crimes Bill, Owing to the obstruction the cloture was twice adopted. Finally Mr Smith, First Lord of the Treasury, proposed that it should be applied to all remaining amendments on the first section of the Bill together. Mr Leonard Ccurtuey, Chairman of Committees, refused to put the question, and ultimately the amendments were proposed singly and rejected.
