AUCTIONEERS' REPORT.
GEHALDtNB. Messrs J. Mundell and Co. report sales for the week ending Saturday, 7th May, 1887, a 3 follows : At tin 1 Geraldine saleyards on Wednesday there was an average entry of stock yarded, notwithstanding the rough weather experienced the two previous days, which muse have interfere J to a great extent with yarding or drafting of stock. The numbers brought under the hammer were 2091 sheep, 65 pigs, and 7J head of cattle. At auction and privately the following pricos weru realised : SIj e( .p_Fu!l-month?d ewes, fit to kill, 4s 4d ; 2-tooth owes and wethers, forward stores, 4s sd, 4s 6d to bs ; crossbred lambs, 2s 6d to 2s lid ; merino wethers, 2s 7d ; merino ewes, Is Id to la id. Pigs—Bacon sorts, £2 3s; stores. 5s to 7s. Cattle—Tbree-year-oid steers, £3 12s 6d lo £3 17s 6d; two-year-old steers and heifers, £1 12s 6d to £1 15s ; cows in full profi-, £3 10s to £4 ; yearlings and calves, 8s to 13s ; dry cows, £1 lis to £2 2s 6d. At our Rooms, Geraldine, on Saturday we held a clearing sale ot woollen goods, and ready-made clothing, which was very successful. The sale will be continued on Saturday, the 14tb.
