Melbourne; April 29. Arrived—M anapouri. On hearing of the recent fire at the Wellington Prstal and Telegraph 1 Offices, Mr Derham, the Viciorian Postmaster-General, telegraphed ( to Sir Julius Vogei expressing regret at the catastrophe, *nd offering assistance. Sir J. Vogel replied, thanking Mr DeN ham, but stating that assistance was not required. : : Sydney, April 29. An enquiry will ba held here regarding the collision between the Tyne and the Myrmidoni* • It was at one time feared onboard the former vessel that she would sink with all hands. Every provision was made in case of emergency/ The Myrmidon also had a narrow escftpi. Sir Henry Loch; Governor of Vic* toria ani Lsdy Loch are now on a visit here.
