The annual meeting of householders of Geraldioe Flat was" 1 held in the schoolroom on April 25th, and was but poorly attended. Mr David Shaw was voted to the chair. The minutes of the last annual meeting having been read and confirmed, . the following report of the outgoing Committee was read : Q-bntlißMEN,—There has been nothing very startling during the year that has jußt passed. The Committee have been trying to get some gymnastics for the amusement of the children, but the price asked by the Board of Education was thought too much by the Committee. A concert was held by the Committee in conjunction with the late Master, Mr Penney, whwh was a great success, realising the handsome sum of about £lO. This amount was spent on prizes for the children and other expenses, leaving a balance of £1 Is 6d. We have had a change of masters during the year. On the resignation of. Mr Fennoy the Gommittet secured the services of Mr J. A. Fitzgerald, son of the Rector of the Dunedin Training College, from whom we hope to see good results. The school is in good working order, but we are much in need of two new desks for school use, and some slight repairs need attending to. A class-room is also needed, as the school is far too small for the number of children attending it. We have a balanoe of £8 la lid on hand, but there are a few outstanding accounts, whioh will bring it down to about £2. 4fter some discussion the report was adopted. It ffas decided that the late Committee. viz., Messrs A. Hose, A. Kelman, G. South, J. Wilkinson, P. H. McShane, J. McQuillan, and D.Shaw, be re-elected. Meeting of New Committee. A meeting of the new Committee was held immediately afterwards, all the members being present. It was unanimously resolved that Mr D. Shaw be reelected Chairman.
