rpHE Board, in pursuance of powers in X that behalf conferred by " The Education Act, 1877" (section 64 as f amended), be r eby directs that a PUBLIC I MEETING of the HOUSEHOLDERS in every School District throughout the Education District of South Canterbury, be held on MONDAY, 25th day of April, one thousand eigh f hundred and eighty seven, at seven o'clock in the evening, for the Election in each district of Seven Householders (section 64) to form the Committee for such District for the year ending with the fourth Monday in ApriJ, eighteen hundred and eighty eight. The place of meeting shall be the schoolhouse in each district which is provided with a Schoolhouse. In the Districts In which Schools are not yet built, the places of meeting shall be as follows :—Totara Valley at the house of C. .Reginald Shaw, Esq. The Board further directs that the FIRST MEETING of each School Committee be held io the place appointed for the Elections, and immediately after the election, upon the same evening. The Board requests the Chairman of each Public Meeting to Make to the Board, immediately after the election, a return of the names of the several householders elected to form the Committee, and re J commends that each Chairman of Committee report his own election as soon as J.
