THE QUEEN’S JUBILEE.
TO THE EDITOR. g IE) —I was glad to notice that a few issues ago you advocated that we should celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee locally in Temuka. I notice that Geraldine and other small towns are taking steps in that direction, and I think Temuka should nat ba behindhand in its display of loyalty. I hope the leading men will take the matter up spiritedly, and if they do I have very little doubt but that the public will respond heartily.— I am, etc , John Lawson. Temuka, April 6, 1887.
