The Cambria (Thames) crushing for the past fortnight has produced 376 ozj gold. A young man named John Kneebone, residing at Tararn (Auckland), died suddenly last Tu 'sdav evening owing to the bursting of a blood-vessel. A public meeting was held at Nelson last Tuesday night, the Mayor presiding, to consider the bast means of commemorating the Queen Vijubilee. |t was decided to raise 45400 for converting a reserve near the Government Buildings into ornamental gardens, and £IOO for the celebration of the day.
