TEMUKA FOOTBALL CLUB.

The annual meeting of the Temaka Football'Olab took place in tbs Royal Hotel, Temnks, last Tuesday evening, there being 16 members present. Mr Vlint was elected to the chair, MINUTES. The minutes of the last annual meeting veie read and confirmed. ANNUAL REPORT. . The annual report and balance-sheet was read, from which we make the following extracts 1 Gentlemen, —lt affords me great pleasure to'have to make such a satisfactory and favorable report of the working of this Club and its members during the year that has just passed. During the year seven matches have been played with different Clubs, five having been won and two lost. Thus* facta may be considered highly satisfactory, considering the wet winter we had, which greatly interfered with the form of the players, and consequently with the matches. .... v, -The receipts from all sources amounted to £6 9s Bd, and the expenditure £8 9s 6d, leaving a debit balance of £1 39a lOd. This fact is to be much regretted, but it is to be hoped that with a little seif* sacrifice, energy, and unity this amount will soon be wiped out, and a balance shown on the other aide. Two matches were played with the Merivale Club (Christchurch) and lost, three with Timaru Club and won, one with - Geraldine Club and won, and one with South Canterbury Club, which was drawn in the local Club’s favor. The total number of points scored were 39 for and 30 against. The Club . should be highly pleased with these results, as it is the first winning bracket recorded for this Club since it has been formed. It has been suggested, if possible, to make an annual fixture with the Merivale Club, as it has been fully acknowledged to be greatly due to their .visit that the Club was so successful in the past season.. The following are the best of the Club for the season F. K. Gray, five touchdowns, ten points; G. Yelvin. two goals from fi-dd and one touchdown, ten points; J. Russell, one goal from field, four points ; T. Thomson, ‘two touchdowns, f-ur points ; W. Stewart,, one touchdown, two points; J. Blyth,. . one touchdown, two points; Jas.
