SPORTING.

WOODBURY JOOKEY CLUB,

A meeting of the above Club was held in their rooms, Woodbury Hotel, on .Saturday evening last. Mr F. U. Flatman occupied the chair.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

The Secretary, Mr J. H. Dean, stated he had called the meeting for the purpose of receiving for the Handicaps as m.voi i t . Tqe nominations were then read, there being six for the Handicap Hurdles, six for the All-uged Handicap District Race, and eleven for the Woodbury Cup. The number of nominations received were considered very satisfactory. The Handicapper, Mr T, W. Corbett, stated that in consequence of the nominations in some cases not being accompanied by the previous performances of the horses, as specified by the rules, the weights could not appear until Friday, April Ist. and the acceptances till April sth.

On the proposition of Mr Flatman, seconded by Mr Corbett, it was decided to call for tenders for the following privileges Ist, publican’s booth ; 2nd, gates ; 3rd, . refreshment booth; 4th, cards ; sth, ;games, and right of erecting horse stands. The tenders to be in by Monday, March 28th, not later than 7 p.m. The following are the nominations received :
