1 ENGLISH AND.FOREIGN. London, March 3. Messrs Tyser and Co. bave contracted to run a monthly cargo steamer, filled with Hall's refrigerator, between Londrn <md New Zealand. The steamers will call at Antwerp and Sydney on the outward route, and at some port on the Continent on the homeward journey. The English manufacturers are angry at New South Wales for inviting tenders for engines abroad. The leading mpmberg of the French Senate and Chamber of Deputies are uneasy respecting the Colonial Conference, and are anxious for unofficial communication with [the Australian delegates. The suggested interview between one of the Agents-General and M. Goblet Bnd M. de Freycinet has beeu postponed.
News has arrived from the West Coast of Africa stating that Mr Johnstone, Rritlsh Consul at Cameroons, has been kidnapped by a body of native savages.

In the House of Commons last night, a stormy debate took plane on the credit vote for the Irish police. Mr John Dillon defied the Government to suppress the Nationalist meetings in Ireland, end declared that the Executive would be responsible (or the bloodshed which might eniue. Sir Michael. Hicks-Beach, Chief Secretary for Ireland, reiterated bis statement as to the necessity of granting an increase in the powers of the Government with regard to Ireland.
A new Company, styled the Australasian Steam Navigation Company, has been registered, with a capital of £600,000. The Company has been formed to work the Australasian coasting trade. During the raids that have been made on the tenants who paid their rents in County Limerick much property was destroyed. It is reported that China has ceded a group of islands, of which Ohasan is the principal, to Germany. Prinoe Alexander of Battenburg, who has been suffering from smallpox, is now out of danger. The London Chamber of Commerce oppose the renewal of the Ocean Mail contract with Australia for seven years.
Government intend to appoint a Committee to enquire into the charges brought against the London Corporation. Sir R. N. Fowler, ex-Lord Mayor, considers the charges a mere matter of personal antagonism. The Imperial Conference will assemble on April 4tb. It is reported that Signor Sarßcco bss succeeded in forming an Italian Ministry, with Count N. de Robilant as Min ister of Foreign Affairs. At a meeting of the Bullion Society, Mr Cornish road a paper on the gold gupply of the world, and argued that the present depression was caused by a falling off in the supply, i Sir Graham Berry presided, and coincided with the view taken by Mr Cornish, further stating that a remedy might be found in the fact that profitable employment could be obtained for thousands of men on the as yet half developed ..mines of Australia. Mr Mclntrre, of Sandhurst, was present at the meeting.

Aden, March 3. Later advices from Mozambique state that tbe account of the rising of the natives against the Portuguese was considerably overdrawn.
