Oats have, bad. considerable stir during the week in consequence of a few shipping orders being to band. 1 LoCal demand is quiet; (-Milling is quoted at 2s, heavy short feed at Is lOd to Is lid ; inferior kinds, 1C Bd, Barley—Prime malting would find an outlet in limited'quantities at 2s 8d to 2s lOd, and good bold feed at 2s 2d to 2s’4d'. Beans and Peas are nominal at 3s to 3s 6d. i Eyegrasa is offering freely at 3s to 3s 6d, but-buyers are chary about buying. Prices are scarcely settled as yet between vendor and buyer ; but if we quote 2s fid for inferior, 2a 9d for medium, and 3s for extra well cleaned farmers’ parcels, we shall not be far out. Machine dressed is not yet offered. Cocksfoot is not' yet offering. • - Potatoes out of season Dairy produce ' very weak. Butter quiet, at 4|d to sd, and cheese varies from 4d to sd. The above prices are for delivery f.o.b. Lyttelton, sacks extra. 1 OHEISTOHUECH STOCK MAEKETS. At the Addington yards on Wednesday, large entries-pfcsheep and moderate entries of cattle' were yarded for the day’s supply. Attendance less than an average one. Fat commenced shortly after eight o’clock to a very limited attendance. Only a moderate number of cattle passed under the hammer, principally second-rate quality. Demand very middling, and values receded quite 10s per head. Steers Sold at from £4 10s to £7 10s, heifers and fat cows £3 10s to £6 10a, and from 15s to 18s per 1001 b was the ruling price. Fat Sheep—A large ent r y of all descriptions, demand almost wholly local and not extensive, and a dull sale took place, at a reduction of from la to Is fid per head from last quoted rates; primest wethers sold at from 7s, 6d to> 8s fid ; medium sorts, 5s 9d to 7S ; ewes from 3s 9d to 6s 3d ; merino wethers, 3s 4d to 3s lOd values ranging from |d to l|d- per lb. Pat Lambs—A large number on offer, demand pretty fair ; values ranging from 2s fid to 6s 9d per head. Store Sheep— A small entry and a poor demand,' very little business ddn'e. The same" may be said of the store cattle market, values remain unaltered. There were but few pigs yarded; no alteration to be quoted in values. ■. . . DUNEDIN PEODUOB MAEKETS. The following is the report for the week ending Tuesday * — Wheat—There have been a few small parcels offering, but millers only buy sparingly, and then only best milling sorts for mixing, so that, 1 altogether, the demand is very small. Prices are without change, excepting, perhaps, inferior qualities,; which are very little sought' after. Fowl wheat is in full supply, and has suffered a slight decline in value. Quotations are as follow Prime velvet and Tuscan, 4s 0d to 4? lid ; other, sorts in to 4S 9d,; inferior milling, 4s i“d to 4s fid ; fowl wheat, 3s 8d to 4s, - - Oats—There-is less demand. Shippers having) supplied small orders on hand, are entirely out of the market, while local dealers are also fully stocked,: so that to-day the market is unusually .quiet. Stout bright feed and heavy willing are, however, pretty scarce, but without,improvement in value, but there is a large supply of inferior and discolored lots, and prices are certainly lower; Quotations: Prime milling, Is B£d ; best: bright short feed, ls 8d ;cmedium feed, Is 7d to Is 7£d ; inferior, discolored, and other low Borts,Ts'4d to Is fid. , 1 ' Berley—The market for all descriptions is quiet, and malting cannot be quoted at over 3s, with very limited sale. Peed, 2s 3d to 28 fid ; milling, 2s 7d. - Potatoes--The market U fairly supplied with kidneys.' A few Irucks of new Derwents have also arrived. Kidneys are in steady request, at £6 to £7 per ton, but as Derwents are too green there is very little demand for them at say £4los 'to £5 10a per ton. Among the week’s sales have been 5,5 tona-kidneys at £6 to £7 10s, 10 tons new Derwents at £5 to £5 10s. Chaff—£4 is the best price obtainable for good oaten sheaf, £3 15s for. medium, dnd £2los for oaten straw, i Butter—New season's salty 6£d to 7d. Fresh plentiful at 5d to fid for mixed lots. ' Eggs—Eightpence per dozen. Cheese—Sixpence per lb for best now season’s. Sheepskins—At Monday’s sale ' green pelts sold at 9d to Is 5d ; green lambs, lsßd to Is lid ; dry crossbreds, Is to 5s 4d ; do merinos, lid to 4s fid ; dry pelts, 3d to lOd ; dry lambs, 3d to is Id. ; Hides—There is a fair sale for ahy arrivals, prices remaining steady at equal to those given last week. Tallow—A few parcels of medium to fine have been offered during the'past week. Best lots were In better demand and taken by exporters at up_ to £lB, which is about top price; medium, £ls to £l7 ; inferior, £l2 to £l4. Butchers’ rough fat has reached this market in very bad order, some almost useless, and prices range from £4 to £lO 10s,‘ according to quality. ’ v - R

Fat Lambs—64l were penned, mostly in fair condition. , They were all disposed of at about last: week’s prices, which ranged from 3s 9d to’ 7s. - Pips—The largest supply seen for some time was yarded, namely,. 401, a large proportion of which were prime porkers, the rest suckers and stores. Piices for all sorts were a great deal lower, with a very quiet demand.—Donald Reid and Co. sold for Mr J. W. Leslie (Timaru), 34 at 17s 6d to 20s 6d ; privately, for Mr William Grant (Timaru), 50. Horso Report— Wright, Stephenson and Co. report; —Wo quote first-class draughts at from £lB to £22; medium, £l2 to £ls ; good hacks and light harness horses, £l4 to £lB ; medium, £8 to £l2; inferior and light, £1 10s to £5. AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. .. Melbourne, Jan. 12. Goldsborough and Co. heid s their usual weekly sale this afternoon, when 3600 bales were offered, the sales for being 3000 bales;* Greasy wool sold up to lOd ; scoured, 17£d ; washed; 14d. There was a strong demand, and excellent competition, especially for light crossbreds. Goodtnerinos and shafty scoured pieces have advanced from a halfpenny to one penny since last telegram. r ENGLISH MARKETS. • London, Jan, 12. Australian beef tallow is selling at 24s fid ; mutton, 295. Adelaide wheat is selling at 395, and Adelaide flour at 28s. ’ New' Zealand wheat, from 34s to 38s.
