AUCTIONEERS' REPORT.

Mundell and Co. report tales for f he week ending Saturday, Bth Jan,, 1887: . ;i; Cattle—-At the Geraldine saleyards ■on ;Wednesday we yarded 127 head, and sold all with the exception of three small lota at the following quotations : Forward store steers, 3-year-olds, at £5 10s to £6; 2-year-old steers and heifers, at £8 to £3 2* 6d ; yearlings, mixed sexes, £1 9s to £1 12s 6d; eows, springing and in fall profit, £3 to £4 15s. At Winchester on Ihursday there was a large entry of cattle, bat a dull and dragging sale, owing, we suppose,; to the continued dry weather, Of our entries we sold 3 yearling steera at £1 ; , 4 calres at 12s; 1 dry cow at £3 ; ' 1 cow in full profit at £4 2s 6d; 2 yearlings at from 10s to £1 13s; 4 3-year-old steers at £2 9s; 2 dry cows at ±2 17s 6d ; 1 ball at £1 ; 1 cow, springing, at £4 ss. Sheep—At the Geraldine \ards en Wednesday we quitted the following lots at quotations : 57 fat sheep, mixed sexes, at 5s Id ; 268 do do, do do, at 5s 6d ; 53 do do at 4s 9d ; 50 do do at i at 3s 6d ; 172 2-tooth crossbreds at I 3s; 175 2-tocth half brads at 2s; 177 do do do at 28 5d ; 182 do Jo do at ] 28 8d ;55 6-tooth ewes at 4s At Win- 1 cheater Fair on Tharsday wis sold 63 fat < sheep at 4s 6d.
