The fourth annual raoe meeting held undtr til* anspioee of this Club took place on Monday" at the ; Bangitata Bridge in a psddook kindly lent foi tie occasion by Mr Burnett. There were 260 people present The .weather WM fairly good. A vary fair of about three, quarters of a mile had "been laid out. The ground, however, wu very hard, owing to the dry weather prevailing, and wai alio in some places somewhat rough. Mr D. Denoon had the licensed booth, and Mrs G\ Pye the refreshment ' booth, ' and both appeared to do a fair amount of trade. One of Messrs Mason and Boberts' iotalisatort was upon the ground, and the sum of £99 lOi was pawed through it'during the day. Mr R. H. Pearpoint being unable to attend to act at judge, Mr Simon Bae wu appointed in hie stead, and gave entire satisfaction, not a single complaint being., heard. Mr I. W. Corbett, too, was very auooettful as starter, getting his fields well away together, and with good despatch All the Stewards worked well in endeavoring to make the meeting a success, and they may congratulate themselves upon its pasting off without the slightest Mtoh, The following are the results : Handicap Hurdle Race, of 20 sovs. (Open to all comers) ; 1J miles j over* six flights of hurdles. Mr F. Bull's b g Seagull, 9it... (Mason) 1 Mr Scott's oh g Usurper, 9tt ... (Owner) 2 Only the two started in this race, Usurper, who was carrying 191 bl overweight having to give place to the bay. Totalisator—2o subscribers, 16 on the winner; dividend, 12s, Hack Selling District Race, of 8 sovs.; the winner to be sold for £lO, any Burplus to go to the fund ; 1 mile. MrM. Scott's Sinie, Bst 71b ...(Miller) 1 Mr T. Groundwater's Lady Darling, Bit (Orfcon) 2 Mr Heney's TeKooti, Bst 21b ... (flva.ni) 3 Rapid Bay also ran. Seagull, Bron-tte, Bluebottle, and Buokeye were scratched. After going round once Bapid Bay bolted off the course and was out of it. The others finished as above. Totalisator—4s subscribers, 23 on the winner; dividend, 16s. The winner was afterwards submitted to auetion by Mr J. Muodell, and bought ia at £ll 10s. Bapid Bay was also offered at Motion, and passed in at £l3. Maiden Plate, of 10 aov-4; 1 mile. For borBOB that have never won over £lO of public money. Mr J.-Smith's Nero, 9it 21b ... (Owner) 1 Mr H. Media bolted off the course, and running into a wire fence threw herself and her rider heavily, Fortunately neither were seriously hurt, and Collins sticking'to her well and not allowing her to getaway no damage was done. The horses were sent •way to a fair start, Nero getting a little the best of it. Upon coming round the second time, after racing well together, Dolly got off the course and destroyed all her chaooe in the race. The others finished a capital raoe as above.. Totelieetor—39 subscribers, 19 on the wiener} dividend, 17s. Arundel Cup Handicap, of 20 sovs; 1£ miles ; open to all comers. Mr H. boulter's Media, 7st 41b ... (Cox) 1 Mr 7. Bull's Seagull, Sit 81b ... (Maeon) 2 - Mr W. F. Hawke's Bapid Bay, Bst 41b (Oollini) 3 Revoke alto ran. Lady Darling was scratohed. A considerable amount of interest was taken in this event. A good de»l of time was lost in getting the horses away. After one false start, in which Media went osoe round the course, Mr Oorbstt luooeaded in getting the horses well away together. Passing the post the first time Sea: foil was leading, with the others in a clutter on her quarters. Thu po itioa they m»intaintainea for the greater part of the time. When coming into the straight for 1 the finish Cox called upon Media, and won oleverly by < a note amid great excitement. Totalisator—3B subscribers,' 16 on the winner; dividend, £1 It. Hack Race, of 5 sovs ; for horses that have not won over 5 sova of public money ; for district horßes only ; 1 ihile. I Goldfinch ... ... ... (Miller) 1 Jaok ... ... ... .. (Arthur) 2! Dolly ... ... ... ..."(Mason) 3 Presto, Seftou, and ; Diomedes also ran. This was another capital raoe, the horses j finishing as plaoed. | Hurry: Scurbt, winner to receive entrance money ; catch weights ; once round the course. Six started for this event, which was won by Oex on Brunette. Totalisator—3l subscribers, 19 on the winner j dividend, 14i. The Consolation fell to Bapid Bay. In this race Revoke when finishing swerved
from the whip -and bolted among the Tehiolea,-colliding Ant'with a hone and afterwardi With a dray; throwirifWi rider with gr<at force. Fortunately beyond a terere blow od the head and a shaking the latter w«i not much hurt. The aventi of the d»y were concluded about 6 o'clock p.m. Mr A. Tinlayion was on th«s ground with ■ hit bagpipes, and enlivened the proceeding! ' tunee.

Johns was first in the Three-Legged R^ce.
