At the Addington yards on Tuesday, for the convenience of all interested, it was considered’ advisable to hold the sale of- stock a day eirlier than usual, there was certainly not an avenge attendance or buyers, and it BBMned pretty well agreed , that the jltsatßfioo wai not required. Fairly good lebtries of fat stock, w ere yarded, th|. dumber of store sheep and cattle was not heavy. /Fat cattle A good entry, principally medium weights and quality, demand not very keen, very low values ruling. Steers sold at from £5 5s to £Blos, heifers from £4l7s 6d to £6lss, a speciality being a beautiful Hereford heifer, which elicited keen competition, was secured for £10.: Beef can. be quoted at about 20s per lOOlbs. ' a: DUNEDIN PRODUCE MARKETS. The following is the report for the week ending Tuesday -Wheat—The wheat market this week has been exceedingly quiet. Very little business has passed, and though holders pf best milling samples are still adhering tio late prices, a few parcels of medium to good have been disposed of during the v fsst few days at lower prices than have been obtained (quality considered) a week bt two ago. Quotations are —for best . milling, 4* Did to 4s lid; for extra choice, Id more ; good to prime, 4a 8d to 4s 9d ; medium to good, 4s 6d to 4s 84 ; inferior and fowls' wheat has been in over supply and prices lower, (for beat 6d per bushel), 3s to 3s 94 (ex store, sacks ; A Considerable business has been done in theee during the past week, at

Barley—There is very little demand for malting, the season being now over. Potatoes--There lias been a,little more enquiry for. good. jDerwents this week, but owing,to.’theVveiy low prices, which, had to be accepted lately suitable lots are scarce. New potatoes are coming to haod frefely, and selling at £4 10s to £8 10s per too.' At the Burnside Yards on Toes* day the following business was transacted : j Fat Cattle—Only 151 head were yarded, comprising medium to good and prime heavy-weights. Competition Was weak, resulting in a declinb of 20a to 21s per head. Best bullocks brought £9 10s to £ll 12s 6d ; medium to good, £5 10a to £9 and t cows,in proportion. Prices realised were much easier than last week's. Best brought 18 6d to 8s 6d—one small pen, very heavy, 9s; inferior to good, 3s 3d to 7s 3d, j»ig B __2()2 were penned, representing various sorts. Suckers brought from 6s 6d to 12s 6d ; one prims lot, bred by Mr Robert Winktield, Hillside, brought up to 17s ; porkers, 26s to 35s'; buconers, 36s to 48s. —Donald Reid and Co. sold for Messrs McQdyerin and Hardie, 35 at 17s to 43a ; for Mr H. Oldfield (Temuka), 33 at 20a to 245. Store Cattle—Wright, Stephenson and Co; sold 30 three year-old bullocks in low condition at £5.108, aod 14 at £l3s.
Horse -Market —. Wright, Stephenson and Co. quote as follows First-class draughts at from £lB to £24; medium, £lO to £ls ; good saddle and light harnessrborses, £l2 to £lB ; light, £8 to £lO j light and weedy, £llos to £5.
