Crafei waited upon the Board, and requested them to let him the whole of immigration barracks, comprising three cottages. His reason was that he now occupied one of the cottages, but aa they all cohjoined conversation carried on in one could be heard by persons living in the others. If allowed to have the whole to himself be would ; be wilting to pay a yearly rental of £lO. -Mr Craftr haying retired, the Board discussed the. matter. It was finally decided to giye Mr Rowe, who had been allowed to live in the cottages free !of rent for three months, a month’s notice to leave., .
