AUSi'iiALIAN MARKETS. Melbourne, Dec. 10. T|,e New Zea'unu Loan and Meicantile Agency Company held tlin’r usual weekly sale yesteraay afterm on, when they offered a catalogue of 4328 bales. Three thousand three hundred and three were sold, making a total for the week of 3681 bales. The attendance of buyers was large, and the biddings spirited. Prices realised were in sympathy with those realised at the London sales —greasy merino being Id lower ; crossbreds, ; washed fleece, 2d ; and scoured, The highest price was fer greasy, ll£d ; scoured, 18d ; washed fleece, 14|d. Sydney, Dec, 10. New Zealand wheat is selling at 4s ; New Zealand oats, 2s ; maize, per 561bs, 3s si. Sugar Company’s No. 1 pieces, £25 per ton. Adelaide, Dec. 11. Wheat, 4s lOd to 4s lid ; new crop, 4s 6d. Flour—Town brands, Lll to LII 10s ; country brands, LlO 15s. ENGLISH MARKETS. London Dec. 10. Wool continues dull. To-day’s auction catalogue comprised 9100 bales. Dec. 11. The wheat market has recovered from Wednesday’s depression, and is now more active. Business on arrival cargoes shows a slight advance, Australian, ex warehouse, is quoted at 37s to 3Ss. There has been a heavy speculative bidding at New York for the wool sa'es. Barely a hundred thousand hales were catalogued, of which twenty-one thousand five hundred bales were withdrawn. French buyers are competing with more animation, without an advance in prices.
