THE LATE ACCIDENT.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib,-—ln your Thursdays paper 1 noticed a paragraph concerning the lute accident al Southfield, where you censure the Tim.uti paper for not correcting a false report of Mr Olaridge’s death. Now, sir, will you allow me to ask you which you think tha worst—the persona who spread the report or the paper that published it ? When you know that it was professing Christians'that spread that and a great more false reports, and let them go without correcting them, I think you will not wonder at the Timaru paper letting the report stand as at first. When will professing Christians be led into the way of truth, and hold the faith in unity of spirit, in the bond of peace and righteousness of life, and at the same time not go about telling lies? How much better will it be for the ungodly. T think Dr Newton calls them vain professors and falsa deceivers—Tor they try to deceive the devil and cheat him of his just due.' Now, Mr Editor, I must apologise for the length of space I have taken up, and remain yours respectfully, One Who LovesTruik.
