The object for which this Prospectus ia submitted to the Public is, to float a company for the purpose of manufacturing Jam and Preserving Fruit. 2. During the peat few few yeen large quantities (of Fruit have gone to abiolnte waste in this district, owing to there being no Market for the eale of it, and thus an avenue through which much wealth might be acquired is at present abut up. Kverjene most recognise that it ia desirable to open npthle avenue as Boon as possible } also that tha district ii admirably adapted tor fruit* growing, and that is an industry wbieh would provide profitable employment for junior members of familiei owning small areas of land. 3. Furthermore tha most diligent inquiries have led to the belief that the manufacture of Jam and the preserving of Fruit is very remunerative, and Shares in the proposed Company may reasonably be expected to pay good dividends. 4. It ia understood that the district at present produces sufficient fruit to make between forty and fifty tons of jam a year, and it the proposed Factory is established, and the people are thus provided with a certain market for their fruit, the sup ly will doubtless greatly increase, and the industry will proportionately expand. 6. On these grounds the Provisional Directors are confident of inooess, and there* fore express a hope that (rnit-growere and others will eee the desirability of taking up up shares at once, so as to enable operations to be commenced this season, and also the absolute necessity that all the shares should be taken up, so as to avoid having to pay interest on borrowed capital.
