THE CAMPBELL DIVORCE CASE.

Strenuous efforts have been made by the highest penocßgei in the land to hush up (he Campbell divorce case, ; in which "Lady Campbell and Six Oolin Campbell,-brother of the Marquis of Lome, are principals. As (he. effort* ot those of the Boyal blood have failed to aecure the quietus of the affair it is considered that the friends of the parties will be unlikely to succeed, and it is therefore expected that within a fortnight from the present time London will be flooded with particular* of- one of the most revolting aooial scandals of the present generation. A permal of oonnsel’e brief shows that Lady Colin Campbell is charged with having committed adultery with the Duke of Malborongh in London, Paris, PiufUet, and Somerset. Her Ladyship is also charged with haying committed adultly with .Captain Shaw and Colonel Butler in her own bouse, with Dr Bird,! the "venerable'family physician, in London and other . places, and with some unknown penon on April 18th,,1888. The co-respondents have each filed a denial to the Charges. Her Ladyship had filed her petition for divoree two days before Sir Colin; Campbell made bis charges against her. : The grounds of her* petition are, according to her allegations, that Sir Oolin Campbell bad been guilty of adultery with maid j servants in their household.
