POLITICS IN THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS.
Intelligence has been received by the Alameda of the political crisis in the Hawaiian Legiilature. It arose in this way. A Loan Bill bad been paned authorising the borrowing of £400,000, out of whioh eiiifcingiliabilittei of £25,000 were to be paid. Spreckles suddenly a»ired<from> Ban Fran* oiieo and insisted that a new clause should be added to the bill,pr«cludingfurther borrowing until tbe £400,000 loan had been paid off. Ob tha proposition being put to the Hiuse it was r/jieted by a large. majority of the Opposition. Owing to the young hand a with Government thinking that the Miniitry would retire, and Mr Gibson, the Premier, be put out of office, they were sold. Mormjrg* appeared, and it was announced that in the} new Cabinet Mr Gibson was still Premier,' three native Hawaiiansfiiling tbe other offices, with Mr Oreigbton ont. It was first thought ibat (be new Ministry would come to grief for want of money, but they soon got over that. It is reported that a mercantile firm has agreed to place tbe loan on the London market at 98.
