Sofia, Nov, 10, The election of a successor to Prince Alexander took place in the Sobranje to-day. Prince Walderaar of Denmark was unanimously elected to the throne of Bulgaria.
[Prince Waldemar is the youngest of the six children ot Christian IV. of Denmark, by Queen Louise; daughter ot the Landgrave Wilhelm: of HesseOassel. Prince Waldemar was born on October 27th, 1&58, and is, there* fore just over 28 years of age. He is in a measure connected with the Royal family ot England, being brother of the Princess ot Wales.] London, Nov. 10. The Regents have released the Bourgas plotters. The Marquis of Salisbury stated that England’s immediate interests are not engaged in the Balkan dispute, and be expresses the opinion that the judgment of Austria will carry enormous weight in the counsels of Qreat Britain, He adds that England will act without allies if her interests are endangered. Later. The foreign Press, notably the Aus* trian newspapers, express approval of Lord Salisbury’s speech at the Guildhall banquet. The Russian journals, however,-do not pnbftsh it.
Nov. 11. M. Karaveloff, President'of the Bulgarian Ministry, has resigned.
It is doubtful whether Prince Waldetuar of Denmark will accept the throne Bulgaria.
