Messrs Grade, Maclean and Adam reports fprjhe past week ending Saturday as follows; Horses—At the Timatu Horse Bazaar our entry was smaller than for some time back, and the quality both invdraught and light horses, with a few exceptions, was belo-v the average, consequently only a small proportion changed hands. We- have inquiries for good young draughts, but aged and inferior are "difficult to .sell 'at any price. We quote medium to good at. from £ls 10s to £24; inferior, £8 to £l2 ; light horsps, best sorts, from £l4 to £l6 10a; light ahd-W£fiiy,-£4 to £lO. Cattle —At Pleasant Point on Monday there was a few pehs of fat cittle and a. full yard of stores, the demand for the ioriner'was hot quite up to owners’,exedcfations, but several lines of good •tores changed h-inds as under; At yards on Thursday only a few oil.tlje cuttle in the fat pens were prime, these were keen/y com eted for, and sold at equal to 22s 6<l per lOOlbs. At Winchester on Thursday there were no fat cattle forward. Stores, however, were in-full Supply, but graziers did not display much anx ety.,to purchase. There was a good attendance of buyers, spirited compi-tiiion, and irioijl, satisfactory ,p'ices, were; secured.. 894 bales were brought forward, t f which 763 found buyers at up to 10£ i for greasy ha f-bred, 91 'or nteimo »n-t crossbred.
