The Auckland police about 2 o'clock on SundaymorntDg made a descent upon a hbuse on the N.ew North Road, when a shocking' state of immorality was (lisclosed;; A number of young men were iu the place along with girls, aged from 14 to 16 years, who appeared at the Police Court yesterday. The two eldest girls were sentenced to three months' imprisonment, the younger girl to one month, and the other discharged as it was bar first offence. A man named John Atcherley, engaged aißedcastlt, oear.Pamard, Jiade a deliberate attempt to commit suicide by cutting his throat; with a razor on Sunday. He is in a critical and is to be removed to the hospital.
