NATIVE LAND COURT.
The Ndiye Land .Court, which has been sitting at Otoutohanga under Major Mair for ■the past three months, lias complete! its .business, haying settled disputes between the WaikatOj and ,federated tribes. Major Te WbeOrd represented Waikato, and" Wahanui the federated tr,ibesj comprising Ngatirnania!poto, Matuatu'a, panelV €ribes at the head of the ■Wa.ngandi river. The number, of acies brought under the Court was two millions, and comprised -the wholo of the King -Country, Its boundaries are from Mount; Kuipeb'u across to : thb':Weßfc "C6ast, then'ee'to Eawhia'hkrborand across to Alexandra. Fromhere it touches .Waikalo river near Cambridge,'and then down to Kuapehu.. 'lhe Court has fixed the. .titles, and'the'names of owners have now been sent' •in, and when the Jistis complete, the Court will sitiagain to considerthe hspas' awards.: The decision has given satisfaction, j except to a : section of Natives that follow Tawhaiao. within the past twelve months about five millions of acres have bqeri put through the Land Court, being one and a half millions in the district, one and a half millibns in Wanganui, and two millions in the King Country! Only small patclies of land now remain'to be put through the Court.
