J. Brown, Beehive Stores, Temuka— Notifies that he is now opening up spring and summer goods, which have been marked at lowest prices. Special values in lace curtains, cashmere cloths and zephyrs, dress goods, cretonnes, etc,, etc.

Mr J. W. Velvin advertises elsewhere that he has received a large supply of minrow and fly rods, and also all kinds of fishing tackle. We have been shown his stock, and must pronounce it very select. His rods are ot a superior kind, and a marvel of cheapness : in fact, we heard one of the principal fishermen of the town expressing great astonishment at the price at which they were offered. He has all kinds of rods, such as split cane, green heart, etc., which he sells at prices varying from 9s fid to £6, and which are admitted to be the best value ever seen in the district. Another article worthy of notice is the angler’s knife. It is shaped like a fish, and has two blades and a disgorger. No fisherman can regard himself properly equipped without one of them. On the whole Mr Yelviu’s stock is well worth any angler’s inspection, as they cannot get so good a value elsewhere.
