The quarterly tea meeting was held last evening in the Temuka Wesleyan Church, at which there was a fair attendance. The tea, which was provided by ladies of the congregation, was excellent in quality and abundant in quantity. The tables were J presided over by the Misses Brown (2), Barrett, and Watts, assisted by several others, and everything passed off satisfactory. After the tea a public meeting was held, at which Mr J. Brown presided. Addresses were delivered by the Chairman, the Rev. Mr Boothroyd, Messrs Buxton, and Miles, Captain Mclnness (Salvation Army), and the Rev. Mr Thomas. Recitations were well rendered by Mieses G. Brown, Lily Brown, and E. A vote of thanks to the Chairman was passed on the motion of Mr W, Storey, and to Miss Brown on the motion of the Rev. Mr Thomas. The proceedings were brought to a close by the Rev.
