Vice-President, Mr G. H. Rhodes, gives a cup, value £lO, for the best horse that has bunted with any recognised pack. The same to be entered in either class 151 or 152. The Hunt Clubs of South Canterbury give a prize of £6 6s for the best Light-weight Hunter. Mr F. LiOren, on behalf of the N.Z.L. and M.A. Company, offers a Cup, of the value of £lolos, for the best pen of not lets than twenty (20) Sheep in the wool, suitable for freezing for export j open to all Farmers not occupying or owning more than 3000 aores of laud, the Sheep t® have been bred and fattened by exhibitor. The Cup will not be awarded unl< s« there be at least six exhibitors, but it will be available for the same object at next year’s show. Maximum number of points to be 18, thus apportion d : Early maturity, 6 ; wool, 6 ; carcase, 6, Special entry. The Association offer a prize of £5, in addition to £5 offered by Mr William Balfour, for the best Dray Boot-cutting Machine, to be drawn by not more than two horses, the roots to be dropped on the ground out to size suitable for sheep; certainty of automatic feeding, and capability of cutting the largest quantity in a given time to be specially considered ; the dray to hold not less than 15owt of roots. The Association offer a prize of £5 for a Turnip Drill, to sow from 601 bs to2oolbs to an acre of Bone-dust or Super-phos-phate in the same drills. To sow from 6ozs to 2lbs of turnip seed to the acre, suitable to sow either level or down lands. The Aaftaialion offer a prize of £3 for the best Automatic Chaff Box, for feeding sheep, to bold nob lets than ten bags, to be wind and water proof, and to be easily moveable, Mr James Ring offers a first and second prize of £3 and £2 respectively for the best yearling colt or filly by Quamby. Mr 1 !. Ballautyne gives a prize of £2 2s for the best Jar oi Salt Butter suitable for export. This exhibit, same conditions as for Potted Bui ter, must be left with the Secretary on or before Saturday, September 25th. Mr J. Ballat.tyne gives a prize of £2 2s for the best Cheese suitable for export, Mr A. Grant offers a prize of £2 for the best English Leicester Ewe, with or without iamb at foot. Mr 8.
