On Sunday morning the body of a women was found floating in the Auckland harbor near the foot of Albert Street. It was identified as that of Mrs Mary Robinson, a well-known vagrant. She had a penny in her pocket.

Nicholas Robin, a miner at Nelson creek, West Coast, was swept down his own tail race and over the face of the terrace, 30ft. high, receiving serious injuries. He was taken to the Hospital at Greyraouth.
