♦ ENGLISH MARKETS. London, Sept. 10. The total quantity of wheat aboat for the United Kingdom is 1,610,000 quarters, a decrease of 210,000 during the past fortnight. New Zealand mutton, prime quality, is realising .4|d.pet. lb.--At to-day's woof auction 11,800 b*les were catalogued. The market is strong, and prices showed a further advance. Greasy wools are now to2d higher than at the close of the June series; ordinary scoured 3d to 3£d, and good scoured 2d to 2-|d higher; fine short greasy crossbred to 2d, and coarse crossbred Id to 2d higher. Sept. 11. W 001—10,700 bales were catalogued. The market continues firm. Fine cross bred wools are very firm, and scoured wools are from to 3d higher than last sales. Sept. 12. The wool market is improving daily, and prices have advanced -|d to Id above opening rates all round. Sixtyone thousand bales have been catalogued, nearly halt of which has been taken by Home factories.
