AROWHENUA ELECTION.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —It was through the instrumentality uf Mr Edgeler that Arowhenua was made a deferred payment settlement, and in that way there are many in the town who owe him a debt ot gratitude, for but for him they would not have a home of their own to-day. It is to him they owe the fact that the town has been eon?tinned a Town District, and it was lie who fished ont that there was money lying to their credit in the coffers of the Government. Now these are facts : consequently I say, honestly, that it will be a shame if Mr Edgeler is not elected. If he is not, the people) ot Arowhentu will be guilty of cold-blooded ingratitude. Let them show their appreciation of Mr Edgeler’s actions by electing him. He deserves it ; he cannot do any harm on the Board, while it is possible he may do good, and there is no reason why he should not be elected. It will be a shame if he is not elected, that is one thing sure. —I am, etc., Ratepayer.
