Pleas’ give your ’vice on the snbjec’. The Maniger of Bank sent for I t’other day, and axed w’en I was agoin’ to squer his ’count, I told he money was to’ tight, but if he opined liis ’eart a bit more and lent money to others then I could get som’ of it and pay he. Bat he got riled and said 1 wer’ a talkin’ nonsense, but at last he said he would only cash my check if it was spent on reproduktive works, and I said al’ right, but I didn’t 'no’ what he meant, all the same. Wei’ next day he tackles me in the street, arid shows m* a check I gived the Timaru Herald. Says lie “You broke our ’gro’ment already.” No, sur, says 1; ’ows that. Says he bnyin’ that confounded Herald beant reproduktive works,] Yes, saysf, bat its all reprodneed froth’ t'other pipers/ ■ With that lie larfed, and says as how those that buyed it had more money that siose, and felled me not to do it again. — l'am, sur, Bill’s Mate.
