London, Aug. 5. ~ Mr Parnell addressed a meeting in Dublin last night. In the coursa of his speech he said Mr Gladstone’s Home Rule Bill was ' the on 'y measure ihat would be rcceptfible to (he Irish people, who demanded that, the rents of land in Ireland should be greatly reduced. •; It has transpired that at a meeting of the supporters of Lord Darlington, held yesterday at Devonshire House, Piccadilly, Lord Darlington spojj-, and deprecated hostility on the. part oflthe Unionists towards Mr Gladstone and. his fol’owers, the Liberals. He added they would remain united on all questions except the Irish question, jMr Chamberlain and other Union leaders expressed approval of the remarks of Lord Darlington, Parliamen' meet to-day for the election of a Speaker, when' Sir Arthur Peel will again b" elected to that office. Aug. 6/ The Imperial Parliament has been adjourned un'ii th« 19 f h inst. During the interval Ministers* re-ejection W'li take place. Aug, 7. The re-election of all the Ministers was unopposed, with the exception of that of Mr Henry Mattlnws, Q.C., Home Secretary^ Differences arc understood to exist in the Cabinet respecting the aiiUimmsef-. sion, the L'nionist Minislers being'opposed to the same.
