ASHBURTON MARKETS. Mr E. G. Stayeley (for the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company) reports on the Ashburton stock sales on Tuesday as follows : About 1500 sheep and small entries of pigs and cattle yarded. There was a fair demand for sheep, and values were unaltered. Pat crossbred wethers 9s to 11s; do ewes, 7s to 8s 6d ; twotooth halfbred wethers, 7s 3d ; do ewes, 6s lOd ; mixed two-tooths, 6s 4d ; medium crossbred lambs, 4s lOd. Pigs dull of sale. Cattle sold fairly, Pat h fliers, L 4 10s to L 6; forward bullocks L 5 Bs. ENGLISH MARKETS. London, July 19.
