The latest election returns give the state of parlies as follows :—Coilv rvatives, 296 ; Unionists, 70 ; Glndstonites, 163 ; Parnellites, 79.
Conservative candidates hay- PM’ur<vi the Liberal scats for Torquay division of Devonshire, and the Walshanitown of Essex.
A meeting of the Cabinet will lie held on Saturday next.
A private meeting of Unionist and Conservative leaders is to be held to formulate an Irish policy. It is heliev d that Mr Chauibeilnin and theM'rquiof Hartinglon will not join in the meet ing.
It is understood that a Conserva'ivi Ministry wou'd be prepared to off r friendly help to Ireland. The Radicals are pressing Mr Gladstone not to resign until the Uub'nisis ci-mpel him.

Mi Gladstone lias arrived in Lon-icn. The latest returns show 307 Conficivatives, 72 Unionist?, 172 Gladstones, and 81 Parnellites have been elected.
