The New Zealand Shipping Company’s Ruapehu (left Lyttelton June 3rd) arrived at Plymouth yesterday, Her cargo of mutton consists of 15,000 carcases, and is in good condition.

Serious riots have occurred in Belfast between the Catholics and Orangemen. Many persons were wounded in the disturbances.

Serious riots occurred in Belfast. The fighting which look place on the occasion was chiefly between the police and Orangemen. A hundred persons were Wounded, and great damage was done to property. In the disturbances yesterday at Belfast, two police and two rioters were killed, and 12 of the latter wounded. Messrs Tyser and Co. are making good progress in their endeavors to break up the Australian shipping ring, and consequently the activity of the latter is less vigorous.

For the Queen’s prize, the following are the averages at the 200 yards range The Australian men averaged 27,46 ; Canada, 27.9 ; India, 25.71. An Imperial Colonial Marine Insurance Company is being formed, with a capital of £1,000,000. The grand naval revitw which is being organised in honor of the colonial visitors takes place at Portsmouth on Friday, the 23rd inst.

In the Windmill match, R. B. Finn (New South Wales) and Sergeant Saker (Victoria) secured prizes. At a meeting of the Executive and Royal Commissioners of the Exhibition, it was resolved to recognis’ the services of the Prince of Wales by pre senting him with a piece of plate, subscriptions to be limited to two guineas.

July 15. The frozen meat by the steamer Potosi is selling at 4|d per lb. Maxwell, who was convicted of the murder of Preller at St. Louis, has been condemned to death, and will be hanged on August 27tb.
