THE HOME ELECTIONS.

London, July 4. Latest election returns show 148 Conservatives, 26 Unionists, 54 Gladstones, and 17 Parnelliles. The feature of the elections throughout the country is the increased voting on both sides. Jesse Collings (Liberal) has been elected for Ipswich by an immense majority ; Rylands (Liberal) has been returned for Burnley. Many Liberals are abstaining from voting. July 5. A number of letters have been published in the newspapers, which show that in December last Mr Gladstone offered to co-operate with the Conservatives in dealing with the Irish difficulty. Mr Gladstone stated that he made the offer on the ground that he had received information that the power behind Mr Parnell threatened to perpetrate outrages in England, The election returns now shbw J 55 Conservatives, 32 Unionists, 60 Gladstones, and 25 Parnelliles. Messrs Bradlaugh and Labouchere have been re-elected for Northampton, and Lord George Hamilton (Conservative) for Ealing. Sir Charles Dilke hits been defeated at CbeLea. Funds were received from America by the Home Rule party to enable them to contest all the Ulster constituencies. The followers of Mr Gladstone complain of the weakness of the Irish vote in the Boroughs.

July 6. The latest returns show 172 Conservatives, 36 Unionists, 76 Gladstonites, and 87 Pann-Hites to have been elected. Mr Dilwyn end Sir Henry Vivian (Liberals) were elected lor Swansea.
