Lbtslb Licensing COMMITTEE,—At a meeting of tbe Lerels Licensing Committee the police reported fatorablyon tbe whole of tbe licensed houses in tbe district. All the renewals applied for were granted, via :—J. Murphy, Point Hotel, Pleas mt Point; W. Dale, Doncaster Hotel, Washdyke; BT. Gardner, Sportsman’s Arms Hotel, Saltwater Greek ; J. Mcßeth, Railway Hotel, Pleasant Point; M. Scannall, Atothenua Hotel, Arowhenua alt the licansue to be 10 o’clock ones. George Finch was granted a renewal of his license for the Cave Hotel till next quarterly meeting, in the meantime a stockyard to be erected. George Crozier applied for a license for a hotel a t Opibi, but the application was refused as the bouse is within five miles of Pleasant Point, and the Committee thought a licensed house there unnecessary.
