ASHBURTON MARKETS

Mr E. G. Stavely, for the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, reports on the Ashburton stock sales on Tuesday as follows ; , Ai the Ashburton County Saleyards there were 5000 sheep and email entries of pigs and cattle. The attendance was small, owing to wet weather, and the sale was consequently dull. Sheep—Fat crossbred ewes realised 6a to 7s 6d ; wethers and mixed sexes, 7s mid 7s 3d; 2-tooth halfbred wethers, 4s 9d ; small and medium crossbred lambs, 2s, 2s 4d and 2s 10J ; good lambs, 4s ; full-mouth merino ewes in lamb, Is 7<l to 2s 3d , cull do, Is Id ; mixed aged crossbred ewes in lamb, 4s 3d. Cattle and Pigs—At nominal values.
