MR GLADSTONE'S IRISH PROPOSALS.

London, Mny 19. In the Houie of Commans last night, a motion was adopted agreeing to set apart four days per week for the discussion of the Govenim-nt proposals f< r securing autonomy for Ireland. Mr Gladstone, speaking to the motion, expressed his belief that the drba'e would occupy mst of next week. Mr Labonchere suggested that the Hou<e should assent to the second reading of the Bill in order to affiira the principle of autonomy, on condition that the Government then promised to withdraw the Bill in its present form. The Marquis of Hartington, addressing a public meeting last night at Bradford, Yorkshire, denied that he had in any way relinquished his hostility to the Home Rule Bill. The Marquis of Salisbury addressed a crowded meeting of the Primrose League in Her Majesty's Theatre last night. Lord Salisbury complained that his advocacy of coercion for Ireland hsu been greatly overdrawn by his political opponen's, and lie urged upon Parliament the necessity of granting full powers to govern Ireland, which powers should be exercised firmly, and with wisdom.
