Melbourne, May 12. The Commission of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Ohuroh of Victoria brought its annual session to a close on Friday last. The assembled ministers and elders expressed their approval of the action taken by the Heathen Missions Committee in protesting against the proposed annexition of the New Hebrides by France, A large meeting was held at the Odd? fellows' Hall, Warrnambool, to express sympathy with the Home Rule proposals of Mr Gladstone, and resolutions to that effect were carried by a large majority.
