TEMUKA. The poll for the election of the , member! of the Tetnuka Hoad Board took place yesterday, and created considerable interest. The following is the result.— Name. Votes. Wheelband 92 John Canard 43 Messrs Paterson, Talbot, Hayhurgt, Quinn, and Oanavan were therefore elected, GERALDINE, The poll for the election of five, members of the Qeraldine Road Board took place yesterday. The polling places were at Geraldine, Hilton, and at Woodbury, Considerable interest was taken in the election, especially at Qeraldine, The following is the result . Geral- Hil- Wooddine. ton. bury. Shetratt, and short addresses were delivered by Messrs Kelland, R. H. Postlethwaits, W. Postlethwaite (on behalf of Mr Slack), Deßenzy, and Grant. The addresses will appear in our next. A vote of thanks was passed to the returning officer and the proceedings terminated.
