Any person, company, association o? public body within or without the colony, may place any property belonging to them in charge of the Public Trustee upon trust for such uses ea may be defined in the deed creating the trust. Any building, land, or friendly society may, by its rules, provide that property belonging to it mr>j bo placed in the Public Trust Office, for euoh trusts and use# and with such powers »s may be defined in or by the said rules. The advantages offered are:— I-it. State Guarantee against peculation, fraud or dishonesty. 2od, All proposed investments are considered by a Board, consisting of the Hon. Colonial Treasurer, the Attorney-General, the Comptroller and Auditor-General, the Government Insurance Commissioner, and the Public Trustee. The Public Trustee in his corporate capacity never dies, never leaves the colony, and never becomes incapacitated, thus avoiding the many inconveniences resulting from frequent fresh appointments of trustees, necessitated by death, change of abode, or mental or bodily infirmi’y. 4th. Punctuality and promptitude in the remittance of periodical payments to bone fioiaries under trust or will to any part) the colony, at which it mar be desired that payment should bo made. sth. No charge is made fo. obsaking probate, nor for passing stamps and property tax returns, nor tor correspondence, however voluminous. Thus the saving to estates pieced in this office is considerable.
