TINWALD LIVE STOCK MARKET.

Mr E. G. Staveley (for the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company) reports on the Tinwald stock sales on Tuesday as follows : 8000 sheep and lambs were yarded. There was an average entry of pigs and cattle. There was a good attendance of buyers and rather better enquiry. Values are unchanged. Sheep—Fat crossbreds, 7s 3d ; do, mixed 2-tooths, 5s 9d to 6s 4d ; forward crossbred wethers, 6s 3d ; heavy ewes, 6s 3d ; sound merino wethers, 2s 5d to 2s 6d ; fair merino ewes, Is to Is 4d ; superior do do, 2s lid ; mixed 2-tooth crosssbreds, 5s 5d ; good crcssbred lambs, 2s 9d to 4s 3d ; inferior cull do, Is Id ; cull merino ewes, lOd ; Leicester rams, 1 guinea each. Pigs—Dull of sale, and few were quitted. Cattle —Quiet, with no inquiry for stores. Fat bullocks, £6 12s 6d ; fat cows, £5 to £5 17s 6d ; fat bullocks, £4 6s; medium and springers, £4 10s to £5 ss. AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Melbourne, April 13, The Melbourne Manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited) reports on the local markets as ■ follows ; Shipping wheat is decidedly firmer at from 4s 4d to 4s 5d per bushel. Malting barley—The demand has slackened and prices reduced, 4s to ss. New Zealand oats—Feed sorts are quieter, at 2s lOd to 3s ; milling descriptions are steady, though not in active demand, at 3s to 3s 9d ; under bond are quoted at 2s 2d to 2s sd. ENGLISH MAHKKTS.
