AUSTRALIAN MARKETS.

The 'Melbourne Manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Com* panj of New Zealand (Limited) reports on the local markets as follows Shipping wheat is rather firm at 4s 3d to 4s 4d ; malting barlej, nominally, 8s fid to 4s; New Zealand oats, feed, less depressed, but not mnch doing, at 2s 8d to 3s ; milling, steady, 'without active demand, at 3s Id to 3s 3d ; under bond, 2s 3d to 2s fid.
ENGLISH MARKETS.
Loudon, March 2i] Colonial breadstuff's and tailed are last quotations. Scotch pig iron, f.o.b. in the Clyde, hss advanced to 42s per toa. 10,i00 bales of wool were offered at auction to-day. There was a qniet market. Low qualify crossbreds <vbibbed a firm tendency. Merino wools showed a halfpenny to one penny lower than last sales, scoured wools about one penny lower, and low ordinary scoured about three-ha 11 pence.
