A; y present trustee may transfer the management of trust property to the Public Trustee, who will thereupon hold such property upon the original trust attaching thereto. Any person, company, association or public body within or without the colony, may place any property belonging to them in charge of the Public Trustee upon trust for such uses as may bo defined in the deed creating the trust. Any building, land, or friendly society may, by its rules, provide that property belonging to it may be placed in the Public Trust Office, for such trusts and uses and with such powers as may be defined in or by the said rules. Colonial Treasurer, the Attorney-General, the Comptroller and Auditor-General, the Government Insurance Commissioner, ood the Public Trustee. The Public Trustee in bio corporate capacity never dies, never leaves the colony, ,aad never becomes incapacitated, thus avoiding the many inconveniences resulting from frequent fresh appointments of trustees, necessitated by death, change of abode, or mental or bodily infirmly. 4th. Punctuality and promptitude in the remittance of periodical payments to bene fioiaries under trust or will to any part) the colony, at which it may bs desired that payment chonld be made, sth. The effective check which is called into operation before ai y moneys can be paid from the Public Trustee’* Account. 6th. Reasonable Charges. On estate* such as are now being considered the Pubic Trustee is authorised to charge per cent, on all receipts, and 1£ per cent, or all disbursements, and ss. per cent, on all moneys invested. No charge is made for obtaining probate, nor for passing stamps and property tax returns, nor for correspondence, however voluminous. Thus the saving to estates placed in this office is considerable.
