Melbourne, March 5. The Te Anau arrived from the Bluff this morning. March 6.
From approximate returns to hand it sppears that 44 supporters of the coalition Ministry have been returned against 18 declared Opposition members and 14 Independent?. All the Ministers have been re-elected, with the exception of Mr James, Minister of Mines, who was defeated by a small majority. Among the prominent mem-, hers elected are Messrß Harper and Madden, Constitutionalists ; Mr Patterson, Opposition ; and Messrs Wood and Lalor, Independents. Among the rejected candidates are found Messrs Langton, Duffy, Angus, MoKay, and Fincham. All the candidates who stood , on the labor ticket suffered defeat. The [elections passed off quietly, no fligne of
disorder being visible at any' of tbe polling places. March 7. The Cuzco wived this morning. Sydney, March 7.
The following members of the New South Wales Ministry have been reelected without opposition :—Mr Copeland, Secretary for Lands ; and Mr Fletcher, Secretary for Mines. Mr Satton, Postmasler-Gcneral ; and Dr Renwick, Minister for Education, are being opposed in their respective electorates.

Crook, the late manager of the Com mercial Bank of Australia, fjas been admitted to bail.
The Associated Banks have resolved to cash the notes of the' Commercial Bank, if the gold belonging to the Bank now deposited in the two Banks in Adelaide is distributed among the Banks belonging to the Association. Public feeling is generally in jfaybr of the resumption of business by tbe Commercial Bank.
March 6.
Three men entered the branch of the Commercial Bank of South Australia at Yqnkalilla (a small township about 45 miles from here) about 1 o'clock this morning. The burglars httacked the manager, whom they rendered insensible by blows. After gagging the manager's wife, the robbers abstracted notes to the value of £2OOO. No gold was on the premises. The police have taken the matter op, and black trackers are out searching for the robberß. Hobart, March 6.
Dr Agnew being unable to form a Ministry, has relinquished the task. Mr Dodds, Attorney-Genera! in the late Administration, has been charged with the task of forming a new Ministry.
